The Marketplace Ministry has two objectives. We call it the two E's – Evangelism and Equipping of Christians in the marketplace.

 

Evangelism:

We have numerous programmes, such as the quarterly lunch meetings and the Each One, Reach One (soft evangelism in workplace), to reach out to those in the marketplace. Interested parties can then be channelled to an Alpha course that is tailored for them.

 

Equipping of Christians:

In our quest to equip Christians more effectively in the marketplace, we have a couple of programmes and events. The mentorship programme pairs a pool of mentors to mentees who have specific issues they need help in, either in their careers or their businesses. We also have an annual dinner where the focus of the evening will be expounding on the practical aspect of Christian living in the marketplace, such as dealing with politics in the workplace. We also act as the arm of the church to participate in, support and plan any Hong Kong-wide conference for the marketplace man and woman.

 

  • Mentorship Program

This is a Church initiative to provide mentorship for people who encounter challenges and issues at work. Sometimes you may feel you need to talk with somebody who has experience in some area of your workplace or situation. If you do encounter such issues please sign up with the program and we will assign someone to talk with you. You need to tell us what your areas of challenges are and what kind of outcomes you expect so that we will see if we can be of assistance. Wherever we feel more professional help is needed we will inform you and point you to the required direction. But we will always lend a listening ear.

Mentors Needed!!

To ensure that the mentorship program works we need mentors! If you feel you have a good listening ear, are patient and have God's love to assist people who have challenges in their work place, please sign up. You need to fill in the Mentors' form so that we know what areas you feel comfortable mentoring in and we will match you with those who need assistance.
