Service with a smile - to serve with dedication, commitment and thanksgiving so as to touch all who come into ICA with love and joy. "The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted." (Matthew 23: 11-12) "This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God." (2 Corinthians 9:12) As an expression of thanks to God, the Usher & Hospitality Ministry provides preparation and assistance for the worship service. As members are often the first point of contact with the congregation, service with a smile is paramount. We welcomes the members of congregation at the entrance, and help people with disabilities to their seats. We serve as greeters, distributing bulletins and flyers at the entrance of the auditorium and directing people to their seats. The preparation of Holy Communion and its clearing up is also performed by Hospitality Ministry members at the beginning of the month. During the service, we also help in the distribution of newcomers' packages, the taking up of the offering and attend to any disturbances. When the service is over, we station ourselves at the hospitality desk to help with any congregational need and are responsible for the clearing up of all materials on display.
