ICA Hong Kong is a church that cares, and our care reaches beyond the Hong Kong borders. Each year, ICA organizes and sends several teams of church staff and members all over Asia, to share the love and grace of our Lord Jesus and bring hope to many in the world who have yet to hear the good news.
Whether serving in an orphanage in the remote villages of China; or bringing medical care to the sick in Vietnam; or feeding the hungry to the poor in India; ICA outreach teams get out constantly to plant seeds! This year in fact, we are starting our outreach trip as early March to help with church construction work in China. And we have expanded the help we can provide to include leadership training and even teaching English.
Many who have obeyed the Lord's calling to go out and serve have found their own lives transformed in many ways. When we see how families delight in a simple meal of rice and vegetables because that is all they can afford, we will appreciate the abundance of food we get at home. When our children see the orphans, with nothing but the clothes on their back, and yet how smart and contented they are with the little they have, we pray our children know how blessed they are. When we see the passion many people who cannot openly worship have for God, we know we have to be even more fervent for God when we have the freedom to praise Him.
