CARE COUNSELING CENTRE:

We provide help to those who feel overwhelmed by issues and 20120228_Care__Councelling_Poster problems either individually or in their marriage. Counselors create a friendly environment in which to explore, express and resolve any kind of issues.

Christians are not immune to life's problems and struggles. Sometimes these problems can seem overwhelming and beyond the well-intending counsel of family and friends. In times like these, those who are facing crisis, either individually or in their marriage, can approach the Centre for help. The Centre also makes referrals to other professionals or agencies when necessary.

The Centre is active in many areas:
*Individual, relationship, family and marriage counseling
*Pre-marriage and post-marriage counseling

Counseling for depression, anxiety, stress management, grief, interpersonal difficulties, spiritual issues, conflict management and many other commonly encountered problems of everyday life are available.

Counseling is by appointment only.

Fee per 50 minutes session:
- Conducted by Intern (professional trainee) is free
- Conducted by Professional Counsellor
• ICA member – love offering (suggestion: minimum $200 or pay what you can afford)
• Non-member – 4% of monthly income with ceiling of $600.

Pre-marital Guidance

If you plan to get married, please inform the pastor and we would like to provide pre-marital counselling and help you with your wedding preparation.

Pre-marital counselling includes conducting a marriage preparation inventory: The Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding & Study (FOCUS). Inventory test materials cover a wide spectrum of communication, problem solving, lifestyle, personality, expectations, extended family, etc. and cost only $500 per couple. Our licensed professional counsellor Ps. Dr. Hilda Lo will do the interpretation of the test and meet with the couple for 3 sessions to go through the test result. Senior pastor Ps. Dr. Edmound Teo will meet with the couple for 2 additional meetings for spiritual guidance.
