Swine Flu Mandate for Children Ministry - June 11, 2009
Dear Parents,

HK government had announced that all kindergarten and primary school will suspend classes for two weeks from June 11 due to swine flu. ICA Children’s Ministry has taken the following measures.

  • Please keep your child home if he/she exhibit symptoms of flu, or has a temperature over 38ºC (101.3ºF).
  • All teachers are required to wear face mask.
  • A manned table will be set up at church foyer (stairs going up mini-auditorium), and at Tanner Road entrance to take temperature of all children before Sunday School.
  • Please ensure children's hands are washed and sprayed with alcohol or wiped with antiseptic gel provided before entering classroom (remind them not to put hand in mouth).
  • No group snack time until further notice.
  • The baby room behind the Main Auditorium will be closed until further notice. For diaper change, please use “Disable Toilet”.
  • Children size mask is available upon request.

Thank you for your understanding and help,

Mokwan Tong
Children’s Ministry Superintendent

FYI: If you take the temperature in your child's mouth or from the ear, the normal temperature is 36-36.8ºC (97.7-99.1ºF).

Sadly, there could be times we remain silent even when we see wrong and destructive behavior of unbelievers among family members, relatives, or friends.  When it’s within our power to do good and share the message of God’s hope and salvation, we should do so.  If we nee...

What type of thoughts dominate us?  Are they fearful thoughts?  Are we always anxious of not having enough?  Angry thoughts?  Jealous thoughts of others’ success?  When our inclination is to the human nature, it’s possessive, and it isn’t beneficial.  However, if we sub...

Dear friends,

"Rebirth" - that's what I heard from God. To Nicodemus, Jesus declared, "No one can see (enter) the kingdom of God unless he is born again (reborn)" (Jn3:3-5). To the church today, Jesus declares, "No church can impact the kingdom of God unless she is reborn."  In Eze.37, the church came from the tomb but in John 3, the church came from the womb. The first is a place of death but the other is a place of life! And God is calling ICA from a place of birth. This is a new season in which ICA is experiencing a rebirth or in another word, "re-church".

What does it mean?  In John's context, it is turning our "water" experience into "wine" experience.  Water speaks of the routine, ordinary, mundane, plain, flesh and dullness.  Wine speaks of the extraordinary, joy, occasional, special, celebration, value, excitement and the Spirit.  God wants to turn our church experience from water into wine.  The wine that was occasional now becomes an everyday special experience.  Water is being changed into wine and it's the 'best right till the end' (Jn2:10).  ICA is no longer a "water jar". Instead we are the "wineskin". (Jn2:6)

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
