Dear friends,
We would like to wish you a Happy and blessed Chinese New Year! As you would have noticed, many windows and doors have been decorated with red paper-cuts and couplets wishing happiness, wealth and longevity. Perhaps earlier this morning, children greeted their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy new year, and were given laisees. And for the rest of today and this week, there will be many home visits and exchange of mandarin oranges. What does this mean? For most Chinese, this is a time to reconcile and renew relationships with family and friends, forgetting all grudges and sincerely wishing peace and happiness. It is an expectation for a great and blessed year ahead.
In the same manner, we bless all of you with happiness, wealth and longevity today. We pray that God will give you and your loved ones a great year. May God's window and storehouse of blessings be yours. May it never run empty and God's generosity be with you and your family for 2010!
Your Pastor,
P. Edmound & Yvonne Teo
